CONDITIONS FOR COMPLETION OF COURSE
In order to pass the course, the student must actively participate in lectures and practical teaching. The condition for passing the exam is the preparation and defense of a seminar paper on a topic assigned by the subject guarantor, which is the result of self-study. The exam is awarded based on the evaluation of acquired knowledge.
Learning outcomes
In the mentioned subject, the student will master the necessary knowledge from the latest knowledge in the field of internal diseases of companion animals. The student independently controls the management of the patient from admission, through the overall clinical examination to the development of differential diagnoses. He can then recommend the patient for specialized tests and procedures. He will be able to evaluate the hematological, biochemical and endocrinological results, and based on these results he will establish a suspect diagnosis with a proposal for the following therapy and further monitoring of the patient.

1. Skin and coat diseases: bacterial, parasitic, mycological, allergic and autoimmune 2. Ear diseases
3. Diseases of the digestive tract: oral cavity, esophagus, stomach
4. Diseases of the small, large intestine and rectum
5. Diseases of the liver, gallbladder and pancreas
6. Kidney diseases: acute and chronic failure
7. Diseases of the lower urinary tract, urolithiasis
8. Blood diseases
9. Diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system
10. Diseases of the respiratory system
11. Heart diseases
