CONDITIONS FOR COMPLETION OF COURSE
In order to pass the course, the student must have active participation in lectures and practical teaching. The prerequisite for passing the examination is the preparation and defence of a seminar paper on the topic assigned by the supervisor (in the range A-E), which is the result of self-study. The examination is awarded on the basis of an assessment of the knowledge acquired (in the A-E range).
Learning outcomes
Graduates will be experts in the recognition and management of subfertility and infertility, disorders and diseases of the reproductive apparatus, assisted reproduction methodologies, reproductive risk analysis in breeding, reproductive cycle management, stress monitoring and management of the impact of environmental toxicants on the reproductive apparatus.
Brief outline of the course
Healthy reproductive system, monitoring of functionality, influencing the reproductive cycle; Disorders and diseases of the reproductive apparatus of breeding females, diagnosis, management, prevention; Methodologies of assisted reproduction, creation of gene reserve; Advances in reproductive surgery; Risk analysis in reproduction, breeding and breeding stock; Fertility analysis in breeding stock, measures to improve reproductive indices and breeding economics; Endocrine disruptors in reproduction; Harmonizing the microenvironment of tubular reproductive organs; Aging in reproduction, rejuvenation of reproductive organs.
Course syllabus
Practical exercises: 1.) Clinical aspects of the anatomy of reproductive organs; 2.) Use of USG in monitoring the functionality of the reproductive apparatus of a healthy female; 3.) The use of USG in the diagnosis of diseases and in the effectiveness of therapy for those with a disturbed reproductive cycle; 4.) Special investigative methodologies in female reproduction; 5.) Therapy of females with a disturbed reproductive cycle; 6.) Analysis of risks in reproduction, breeding and breeding farms; Lectures: 1.) Clinical aspects of physiology and endocrinology of reproductive organs; 2.) Influencing the reproductive cycle, suppression of estrus; 3.) Reproductive surgery; 4.) Assisted reproduction; 5.) Analysis of fertility in breeding, measures to improve indicators of reproduction and economics of breeding; 6.) Endocrine disruptors in reproduction; 7.) Harmonizing the microenvironment of tubular reproductive organs; 8.) Aging in reproduction, rejuvenation of reproductive organs; 9.) Affecting lactation; 10.) Coping with diseases of the mammary gland; 11.) Management of infectious diseases of the reproductive system; 12.) Management of assistance to a newborn individual; 13.) Management of the therapy of diseases of young after birth;
