Learning outcomes
The graduate will gain basic knowledge about the methods of prevention and control of infectious diseases in animals, will gain information about the peculiarities of prevention and control of infectious diseases according to animal species as well as about the organization and coordination of prevention and control of infectious diseases in animals at the national and international level.
Brief outline of the course
The subject content is the study of the principles and methods of prevention and control of infectious diseases with subsequent focus on the peculiarities of prevention and control of infectious diseases according to the species of animals (cattle, domestic sheep and goats, horses, pigs, poultry, pigeons, feathered predators, dogs and cats, rabbits, herbivorous and carnivorous fur-bearing animals as well as laboratory animals and animals in zoo gardens.

Immunological relationships between mother and young; importance in prevention and control of infectious diseases 3. Immunomodulation in infectious and immunologically related diseases 4. General principles of therapy of infectious diseases, use of active and passive immunization in immunoproxylaxis of infectious diseases 5. Forms, applications of biopreparations and pharmaceuticals in the prevention and control of infectious diseases 6. Antibiotic resistance - problems of therapy of infectious diseases 7. Organization and coordination of prevention and control of infectious diseases in animals 8. International cooperation in the field of prevention and control of infectious diseases in animals 9.
