Diploma thesis verifies the knowledge and skills that the student acquired during his studies, and his ability to use them when elaborating the diploma thesis focused on the issues related to a particular research project of the given workplace. The student prepares the thesis for at least three semesters and must obtain three credits. Diploma thesis has a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 60 pages.

Student acquires the ability to work creatively with literature and formal information sources. The student is able to critically analyze professional and scientific literature and texts. The student can create his own conclusions and starting points, including interdisciplinary contexts, and can formulate them in writing and defend them orally.

Thesis topics must be problem-oriented and in accordance with the needs of social practice, scientific and research activities of the university, or related scientific research institutes. In case of thesis topics, it is necessary to adhere to the principle that they should be created in accordance with the profile of the graduate and the study programme. Diploma thesis in study programmes combining first and second levels of higher education must be experimental, specialized, based on applied knowledge, but not theoretical in nature.
