Learning outcomes
The graduate will get information about the basic procedures for preparing and positioning patients for individual imaging diagnostics, information about the basic technical parameters of the devices. Bone studies - preparation of contrast material, administration of contrast material, performance of the contrast study procedure (GIT, URO...) The graduate can set up the x-ray machine to obtain a high-quality roentgenogram. Gain knowledge of different types of X-ray development - Skiagraphy. The student knows how to properly prepare and position the patient for individual examinations. He masters the essential basics of work safety at the workplace of imaging diagnostics.
Brief outline of the course
General radiology 1. The mission of imaging methods in veterinary medicine 2. The equipment of the X-ray workplace, USG workplace, safety regulations, legislation on radiation protection 3. The principle of correct positioning of the patient, the principle of the correct course of contrast studies
