- 100% active participation in practical exercises; Only 1 absence is recognized (for 13 weeks of classes, other absences must be made up)
- Completion of credit in the 10th week of the semester - in the form of a test
- SP is finished with an exam
Learning outcomes
by completing the course, the student will acquire basic knowledge and skills in the field of anesthesiology and animal analgesia
Brief outline of the course
Basic pre-anesthesia examination, ASA classification system, dose calculation, Patient monitoring during anesthesia, Fluid therapy and transfusion, Analgesia, Inhalation anesthesia, Patient monitoring in the post-anesthesia period, Complications during anesthesia, patient euthanasia, Anesthesia in patients after head and chest trauma , Anesthesia in patients with cardiac disease, renal disease and hepatic disease and with acute abdomen, Anesthesia in geriatric, pediatric patients and cesarean section
Course syllabus
1. Basic pre-anaesthesiology examination, ASA classification system, dose calculation
2. Preparation of the patient before anesthesia, anesthetic tools, devices and aids
3. Monitoring of the patient under anesthesia
4. Fluid therapy and transfusion
5. Premedication and sedation
6. Medicines used for induction of anesthesia
7. Analgesia
8. Inhalation anesthesia
9. Patient monitoring in the post-anesthesia period
10. Complications during anesthesia, patient euthanasia
11. Anesthesia in patients after head and chest trauma
12. Anesthesia in patients with cardiac disease, renal disease and hepatic disease and with acute abdomen
13. Anesthesia in geriatric, pediatric patients and cesarean section

1. Examination of the patient before the operation, assessment of the condition, anesthesia protocol
2. Preparation of the patient, preparation of the operating field, the operating team
3. Patient monitoring, intubation, working with an inhalation anesthesia device
4. Anesthesia, analgesia in dogs and cats, practical training
5. Anesthesia in patients of ASA group I.
