CONDITIONS FOR COMPLETION OF COURSE
In order to pass the course, the student must have active participation in lectures and practical training. The prerequisite for passing the examination is the preparation and defence of a seminar paper on the topic assigned by the supervisor (in the range A-E), which is the result of self-study. The examination is awarded on the basis of an assessment of the knowledge acquired (in the A-E range).

Learning outcomes are verified by the preparation of a seminar paper, its defence and a final examination.
Brief outline of the course
Feed law, legislation governing the quality and health safety requirements for feed. Feed law. Feed production technology and hygiene. Marketing and use of feed. Feed additives in animal nutrition. Undesirable substances in feedingstuffs. Feed of animal origin. Genetically modified food and feed. Food law. General and special hygiene rules for food of animal and plant origin. Official controls to ensure the application of food and feed law and rules on animal health, plant health and plant protection products. Rapid alert system for food and feed.
