CONDITIONS FOR COMPLETION OF COURSE | |
In order to pass the course, the student must have active participation in lectures and practical teaching. The prerequisite for passing the examination is the preparation and defence of a seminar paper on the topic assigned by the supervisor (in the range A-E), which is the result of self-study. The examination is awarded on the basis of an assessment of the knowledge acquired (in the A-E range). | |
Learning outcomes | |
The aim of the course is to acquire detailed theoretical knowledge of the principles of the functioning of the digestive system and metabolism in a healthy animal organism. As a result of the study of this subject, theoretical and methodological readiness for the actual solution of the dissertation topic will be achieved. |

Brief outline of the course | |
Functional morphology of the digestive system. Processes of digestion in the oral cavity and the unicameral stomach. Processes of digestion in the forestomach and spleen. Digestion in the small and large intestine. Absorption and metabolism. |
