Výsledky vzdelávania
Part of surgery/reproduction/infectious and parasitic diseases: Students are involved in clinical practise under the supervision of a veterinarian on duty with regard to the basics of clinical examination of new patients, setting up targeted therapy and monitoring its progress, sedation and introduction to anaesthesia, surgical intervention, provision of post-operative care and hospitalisation of the patient. Furthermore, students are present during patient stabilisation - ensuring intravenous access, taking venous blood for laboratory tests, administration of infusion therapy, USG and X-ray diagnostics, endoscopic examination, as well as writing prescriptions and providing information during consultation for the patient's owner. The aim is the application of theoretical knowledge in clinical practise under the supervision of the teacher to acquire skills in communication with the owner of the patient, diagnostics, setting the steps of therapy and caring for hospitalised animals. Part of the complexity of clinical practise is the mastery of minor surgical procedures. In the case of infectious diseases, the student will learn the approaches and procedures for suspected infectious diseases, the administration of the keeping of companion animals from the point of view of national and international ownership, methods of sampling and processing of samples for parasitic diseases in clinical practice.
