The doctoral student should master the relationships between the structure and function of various tissues, organs, and organ systems; apply their knowledge to explain the adaptation of regulatory mechanisms under different conditions; explain the perception of the environment using the sensory system; describe the regulatory mechanisms, both nervous and humoral, necessary to maintain homeostasis.
