PODMIENKY NA ABSOLVOVANIE PREDMETU
In order to pass the course, the student must have active participation in lectures and practical training. The prerequisite for passing the examination is the preparation and defence of a seminar paper on the topic assigned by the supervisor (in the range A-E), which is the result of self-study. The examination is awarded on the basis of an assessment of the knowledge acquired (in the A-E range).
Výsledky vzdelávania
The student acquires knowledge in the field of production of basic and complementary fodder crops. The student learns the basic principles of their cultivation, the nutritional and dietetic value of their products as feed components, their application in the nutrition of individual species and categories of livestock. They will acquire knowledge of anti-nutritional substances in feed, their effect on animals and the application of technological procedures for the treatment of feed to eliminate their negative impact on production animals.

Characteristics of agricultural production areas. Basic agrotechnical practices of cultivation of agricultural crops. Automation in the process of tillage and crop treatment. Growing of annual and perennial fodder crops. Nutritional characteristics of forage products of annual and perennial forage crops. Characteristics of anti-nutritional substances in forages. Negative effects of different groups of antinutritional substances on animal production health. Technological procedures for the elimination of antinutritional substances in feedstuffs. The most important families and specific species of poisonous plants. Description, biology, occurrence of poisonous plants in our geographical zone. Characteristics of toxic substances in poisonous plants, mechanism of their action on the organism, elimination of toxic substances and prevention of poisoning of livestock.
