Attendance of the practical lessons is mandatory. Successful completion of credit test and final exam. The credit test and the final exam are in written form. The exam result is awarded according to the classification scale in accordance with the study guidelines.
Výsledky vzdelávania
After completing the study subject Anatomy, students will gain basic knowledge about the shape, structure and function of the musculoskeletal system, organ systems, cardiovascular and lymphatic system, nervous system, sensory organs, skin and mammary gland of companion animals, laboratory animals and domesticated birds in terms of systematic, comparative and topographical anatomy. Students will practically apply the acquired knowledge in connection with clinical subjects.
Stručná osnova predmetu
Basic anatomical terminology, position and direction of the parts of the body. The locomotor system (osteology, myology and arthrology), organ systems (digestive system, urogenital system, respiratory system), cardiovascular and lymphatic system, nervous system, sensory organs, skin and mammary gland, laboratory animals and domesticated birds. Interspecies differences.
Sylabus predmetu
Lectures=Practical lessons
1st week: Basic anatomical terminology, position and direction of the parts of the body.
Locomotor apparatus, osteology. Skeleton of the thoracic limbs. Thoracic girdle. Skeleton of the pelvic limb, pelvic girdle. Interspecies differences.
2nd week:Locomotor apparatus, osteology. The vertebral column: the cervical vertebrae, the thoracic vertebrae, the lumbar vertebrae, the sacral vertebrae (os sacrum) and the caudal vertebrae. The ribs and sternum. The skeleton of the head. Interspecies differences
3rd week: Locomotor apparatus, myology, muscles of the head and body, muscles of thoracic and pelvic limb. Interspecies differences.
4th week: Locomotor apparatus, arthrology. Interspecies differences.
5th week: Splanchnology, digestive system. Interspecies differences.
6th week: Splanchnology, respiratory system. Interspecies differences
7th week: Splanchnology, urogenital system. Interspecies differences
8th week: Angiology, the heart. The arteries and veins of the body, neck and head. Interspecies
differences.
9th week: Angiology. The arteries and veins of the thoracic limb. The arteries and veins of the pelvic cavity and pelvic limb. Lymphatic system and endocrine glands. Interspecies differences.
10th week: Neurology. The central nervous system and cranial nerves. The peripheral nervous system and autonomic nervous system. Interspecies differences.
11thweek: The sensory organs, epidermal structures and mammary gland. Interspecies differences.
12th week: Laboratory animals and domesticated birds. Interspecies differences.
13th week: Topography of organs in the thoracic, abdominal and pelvic cavity. Interspecies differences.

Continuous assessment:
Active participation in practical lessons in accordance with the study guidelines. Successful completion of credit test in the 13th week of the semester. The credit test is conducted in written form.
