PODMIENKY NA ABSOLVOVANIE PREDMETU
Active participation in practice lessons. Successful handling of all performed dissections. Successful completion of credit tests and final exam. Self-study with available dissection material will help to successfully complete the course. The exam result is awarded according to the classification scale in accordance with the study guidelines.
Výsledky vzdelávania
After completing the study subject Anatomy I, students will gain knowledge about the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system. The teaching is focused on the locomotory system of domestic animals (horse, cattle, sheep, goat, pig, carnivores). The Anatomy I includes the skeletal system, the muscular system and the joints. Students will acquire knowledge about individual anatomical structures, their topographic placement, mutual interaction of the components of the locomotor apparatus, mechanics of movement and interspecies differences. Students will acquire practical skills in dissection of muscles and joints.
Stručná osnova predmetu
Basic anatomical terminology, position and direction of the parts of the body, structure of bone forms and size, skeleton of the thoracic limbs, skeleton of the pelvic limb, vertebral column, skeleton of the head, muscular system, muscles of the thoracic and pelvic limb, head, body trunk, abdominal wall and diaphragm, articulations of the thoracic and pelvic limb, head, vertebrae, the ribs and sternum, static and mechanism of movement, interspecies differences.
Sylabus predmetu
Lectures = Dissections
1st week: General introduction. Basic anatomical terminology. Position and direction of the parts of the body. The structure of bone forms and size.
2nd week: Skeleton of the thoracic limbs. Thoracic girdle. Interspecies differences.
3rd week: Skeleton of the pelvic limb, pelvic girdle. Interspecies differences.
4th week: The vertebral column: the cervical vertebrae, the thoracic vertebrae, the lumbar vertebrae, the sacral vertebrae (os sacrum) and the caudal vertebrae. The ribs and sternum. Interspecies differences.
5th week: The axial skeleton: The skeleton of the head. General description. Interspecies differences.
6th week: The axial skeleton: The skeleton of the head, Splanchnocranium. Interspecies differences.
7th week: The muscular system. General description. Muscles as organs. Muscles of the thoracic limb and thoracic girdle. Interspecies differences.
8th week: Muscles of the pelvic, the pelvic limb and the lumbar muscles. Interspecies differences.
9th week: Muscles of the head and the body trunk. Interspecies differences.
10th week: Muscles of the thoracic and abdominal wall, the diaphragm. Interspecies differences.
11th week: Joins and ligaments of the thoracic and pelvic limb. Interspecies differences.
12th week: Joins and ligaments of the head, vertebrae, the ribs and sternum. Interspecies differences.
13th week: Static and Mechanism of movement. Interspecies differences.

Podmienky na absolvovanie predmetu
Continuous assessment:
Active participation in practical lessons in accordance with the study guidelines. Successful completion of two credit tests in the 7th and 13th weeks of the semester. Credit tests are implemented in a practical form.
